Junior AV Technician

We are currently looking for entry level a Field Service Technician/Warehouse Assistant.  This position is based out of our Hamptons office.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Install and commission custom AV control systems including but not limited to: 

• • Wire ring out.  
  • Wire management, trimming, proper wire labeling standards, and termination including: RG6, Fiber, Cat6, Cat6A RJ-45 Compression, Solder, etc.  
  • Lighting Keypads and touch panel installations. 
  • TV brackets and other mechanical display support devices. 
  • Physical installation of control system components: racks, TVs, speakers, video walls, projectors, and other equipment.  

• Document status reports, procedures, and updates to the project within project software. Provide daily updates to project team in applicable platform.  
• Work alongside lead and field technicians to setup and test AV signal flows, equipment functionality, and programming. 
• Perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing of systems during installation phases with lead technician. Report & document issues as applicable.   

• On-call weekend rotation is required.  

Job Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• Preferred basic knowledge of AV equipment & home automation control systems. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Must be organized and proficient in time management skills. 
• Comfortable interacting with VIP clientele in a fast-paced environment. 
• Familiarity with product lines including Crestron, Savant, Sonos, Lutron, Snapav, Access Networks, Sonance, Bluebolt, Future Automation, and Seura is a plus. 
• Working knowledge of Crestron Toolbox, Savant, Dyn, DNS, etc is a plus. 
• Experience in technical troubleshooting a plus. 
• Ability to lift, move, and push 50 lbs. 
• OSHA 40 and applicable SST certification required. (or able to obtain with 6 months of employment)
• Valid driver’s license required. 
  
• Crestron Savant, Lutron and/or other manufacturers’ training certifications a plus.
