Title: Lead Technician
Salary range: $40- $45 / hour
Job Summary:
The Lead Technician installs, configures, and maintains low voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components. The individual in this role understands the basic concepts of how audio, video, communication, and control devices work. The Lead Technician performs basic system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshooting. The Lead Technician demonstrates mastery of basic wiring/cabling for low voltage integrated systems.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge of many different systems, including, but not limited to: medium scale wired and wireless networking, AV signal flow, control system concepts and programming, line and low voltage wiring methods and codes, surveillance systems, IP and digital PBX, and others. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, be willing to participate in company sponsored training , be able to mentor less experienced staff, and have the knowledge and abilities to diagnose complex systems.
Essential Functions:
§ Uses hand and power tools safely
§ Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, floor plans, specifications, and operational/product manuals
§ Installs, configures, and maintains audio/video, satellite/cable, networking/data system, and security system equipment, devices, and components
§ Troubleshoots of simple and complex systems
§ Installs and terminates low voltage cable
§ Installs low voltage panel and junction boxes
§ Travels to various job sites
§ Maintains company issued tools, equipment, and vehicle
§ Interacts with clients, builders, designers, architects, and other industry professionals
§ Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
§ Minimum of five years of low voltage integrated systems work experience and/or hands-on study required
§ Minimum of a high school diploma required
Industry recognized (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer, etc.) credentials preferred
