We are seeking a Part-Time Fleet Assistant to support our fleet operations. This is a seasonal position through May. The role includes being on call for tow-outs on weekday evenings from 4:00 pm-9:30 pm and working 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Fleet Assistant ensures the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of company vehicles while minimizing downtime and costs and assists in towing out vans that get stuck on route.
Compensation:
- On-Call Weeknights: $4/hour while on call; $23/hour if called in for a tow.
- Weekend Shifts: $23/hour during regular hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with vehicle dispatch, readiness, and routine maintenance.
- Conduct light-duty repairs and damage inspections to reduce downtime for vehicles.
- Respond to on-call tow-out needs on weeknights.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed records of fleet activities and performance.
- Support weekend operations, including inspections and maintenance scheduling.
