As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a critical role in nurturing the growth, development, and learning of student's in our care. Our ideal candidate is a professional with a strong understanding of child development and the skills to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, emotional, and physical development in toddlers
- Create and maintain a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages socialization, exploration, and learning
- Develop and execute individualized lesson plans based on the developmental needs of each child
- Implement our Judaic curriculum
- Observe and assess children’s progress. Maintain documentation of child development, behavior, and any significant milestones
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support the overall growth of each child
- Effectively communicate with families, providing updates on their child’s progress and well-being, and addressing any concerns
- Ensure that the classroom and materials are kept clean and organized
- Support social emotional growth using appropriate behavioral guidance
- Maintain a sanitary classroom environment.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma is required, CDA or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
- Professional knowledge of child development principles, including milestones and best practices for toddler education
- At least 1 year of experience in an early childhood education setting, preferably with toddlers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with parents and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and create a team-oriented environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (preferred, but not required)
