Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent with extensive hotel experience in building a Marriott or Hilton hotel, to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. Candidate must be willing to travel to Alaska.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, laborers, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status, challenges, and solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines.
- Utilize construction management software such as Primavera and Prolog for project tracking.
- Assist in the preparation of construction estimates and contracts.
- Ensure proper blueprint reading and interpretation for effective project execution.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Qualifications
- Must have built a Hilton or Marriott hotel
- Proven experience as a hotel Construction Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including estimating, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices on job sites.
- Proficient in using construction software tools such as HeavyBid, Primavera, Prolog, or similar applications.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Willing to travel based on the location of the job-site -Alaska.
