The Fitness Manager works closely with the Pool Manager, Fitness Specialist and the Fitness & Pool Director to provide personalized customer service and fitness programming through out the fitness center and pools, and every day is an opportunity to make an impact with this highly engaged community!
The Fitness Manager offers highly-personable customer service within the Fitness Center, provides group fitness instruction, supervises the use of the Fitness Center, and coordinates with their team of group exercise instructors to manage the monthly Group Exercise schedule.
Must be Pool Operator Certified and Lifeguard Certified and/or willing to attain certifications promptly upon hire.

Your Role:
Fitness Center Operations and Staff Supervision:
- Responsible of oversight of day to day operations of the fitness center
- Responsible for scheduling and oversight of Fitness Specialists, Group Exercise Instructors, Personal Trainers and Front Desk Staff (Fitness Center Staff)
- Trains Fitness Center staff
- Responsible for recruitment of fitness center staff
- Certification tracking for all fitness center staff
- Oversight of fitness center events and program planning
- Month End Check Requests for Contract Group Exercise instructors and personal training commission sheets
- Assist General Manager with communications between Elevation Health and client contacts
- Enforcement of policies/protocols for Fitness Center determined by client
- Maintains inventory for all fitness center supplies
- Oversight of preventative maintenance, equipment safety checks and cleaning
- Prepare annual equipment inspection report
- Lead Fitness Center staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Technology and Administration:
- Set up and update any changes to the Group Exercise schedule on the MCEP
- Use MCEP and Excel to produce weekly and monthly usage reports as requested by client
- Assist with communicating any user-issues on the MCEP to Elevation Health IT and/or client
- Uses Canva to design Monthly Group Exercise calendar and programming materials, send to client for distribution to community
- Update schedules, widgets and Fitness Center products on MCEP.
- Confirm personal training sessions are fulfilled accurately on the MCEP
Fitness Instruction:
- Teaches up to 5 Group Exercise classes per week
- Fitness Center and Equipment Orientations
- Personal Training
- Exercise Prescriptions
- Fitness Assessments
What we are looking for:
- Certifications:
- National personal training certification
- Must pass Elevation Health’s personal training certification
- Must have current CPR/AED certification
- Lifeguard certification (or must be able to obtain within 2 months of employment start)
- Pool Operators certification (must be able to obtain within 2 months of employment start)
- Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- At least 1 year experience teaching group exercise classes, or interest in learning
- Personal training experience preferred
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, Google Suite, and Canva
