Elevation Marketing is a mid-sized, full-service B2B-only marketing communications agency located in Gilbert, Arizona. Our client roster includes 45 companies with revenues of over $1B annually and a variety of other small and medium-sized businesses. We are adding to our team of outstanding, high-performing, ultra-driven, highly collaborative team members to keep pace with our clients and their project demands.

We’re looking for a  Sr. Content Copywriter with agency and B2B content and copywriting experience including content strategy, branding, positioning, story telling and messaging experience. You will be doing content strategy, writing, copywriting, both long-form and short-form B2B content plus content, storytelling and messaging.

The successful candidate will have experience with writing content for including branding, digital campaigns; websites; social media; interactive tools and videos; sales collateral; and more, for the purpose of building content, brands and driving demand. You also will need experience with branding, positioning, and messaging for both general brand and around product and the ability to interact at the C-Suite and VP Level of billion-dollar brands.

Due to the highly collaborative nature of agency work, this job is not remote and is based in our beautiful Gilbert office (Phoenix Area). The agency does provide two work from home days (or four half days) a month plus a solid PTO program and other agency benefits. The agency is also closed for a week from Christmas through New Year’s.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content across all channels that may include, print, direct mail, email, collateral, and marketing materials (product sheets, case studies, white papers), interactive, web, mobile, etc.
  • Guide and create brand and positing tools, documents, and messaging tools to help drive brands and products forward
  • Lead content strategic work across some our B2B clients.
  • Write strong B2B content for various technology companies, as well as manufacturing, agriculture, industrial, and other industries, as needed
  • Lead brand, positioning, and messaging client workshops and strategy sessions.
  • Help develop brand and product "stories" that connect products and brands to their customers
  • Work closely with project team to brainstorm ideas, create unique concepts, and develop messaging for new campaigns and other requested materials
  • Share and present ideas to senior team members, clients and CMO’s.
  • Follow industry best practices and supplied guidelines / style guides
  • Partner with other team members to develop ideas that are on-brief and on-strategy
  • Manage content teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects
  • Maintain stewardship of client’s tone, voice, and brand standards
  • Create a range of ideas and copy that supports the concepts
  • Work at the C-Suite level, utilizing research & data to help define, create, and launch product brand

Required Skills :

  • Capable of working with internal and external stakeholders a Sr. Levels of Fortune 500 brands to develop messaging, positioning and branding content.
  • Create and adhere to strategic direction and tone, and negotiate changes as needed.
  • Able to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-oriented brand, messages, positions plus the ability to create digestible content out of those complex ideas.
  • Experience working at the executive level to create and / or define a branded voice and tone
  • Able to time manage and juggle multiple projects, both strategic and tactical, simultaneously
  • Highly conceptual thinker who can partner with clients Sr. Leadership team to develop and guide idea generation, both around general brand and around product.
  • Understands digital technology and how to use it to enhance the creative idea
  • Able to think strategically and produce concepts independently
  • Great ability to craft clear and coherent product, brand, positioning and messaging copy
  • Great judgment, positive energy and curiosity about all business and how it works
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivating, and self-improving
  • Conceptual thinker and great collaborator at both the internal and external (client) level.
  • Passionate about your work but receptive to feedback and direction
  • Work quickly and juggle a large workload while maintaining quality standards
  • Able to work closely with Creative Director concepting and developing the proper intersection of copy and design
  • Qualifications :

  • 6 years professional experience as a writer for B2B businesses audiences
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English, creative writing, journalism, or another relevant subject
  • Proven experience in writing B2B content and developing related strategies
  • Portfolio of work required
  • Agency experience preferred
  • An understanding of, and experience with, current technology, including cloud and open source, is also desirable

    Compensation and Benefits

    Elevation strives to provide some of the best agency compensation and benefit packages in the great southwest. The job is in Gilbert, AZ (just off the Loop 202 expressway) and less than one mile from over 50 restaurants. Our business is all about collaboration, so we do not offer telecommuting currently, but we do offer flex hours depending on the position and clients. Employees can start at any time between 7 AM and 9 AM and finish between 4 PM and 6 PM based on client demands and department structure. Elevation pays for 95% of employee’s life, health and long-term disability insurance. Elevation offers vision, dental and a variety of other benefits that an employee can purchase. The kitchen area is full of free snacks and beverages. Tuition reimbursement is available. The salary range for this position will vary depending on experience and skills outlined above.
