With a strong focus on turnkey solutions, they partner with EVSPs, utilities, fleet owners, and OEMs to deliver innovative charging infrastructure integrated with solar, energy storage, and smart software.
The Opportunity
This role will oversee and manage multiple crews to ensure the timely and safe execution of the civil scope of work for medium to large-scale electrical systems. Key responsibilities include work sequencing, blueprint interpretation, and the supervision of layout, demolition, equipment operation, excavation, backfill, formwork, rebar installation, bollard placement, concrete pouring, finishing, and asphalt work. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and significant experience managing multiple crews on various work sites are essential for this role. This is a full-time, in-person position. Candidates must be able to relocate to California before starting work. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday with weekend work as needed. The company provides a take home work vehicle, gas card, and tools.
Responsibilities
- Project Management and Execution:
- Oversee project planning, execution, and closeout.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Review project plans, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Implement changes to procedures or objectives based on cost, quality, and availability.
- Monitor and manage project labor hours to ensure profitability.
- Forecast resource needs (manpower, equipment, materials).
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
- Conduct job hazard analyses and safety meetings.
- Participate in project kick-off and close-out meetings.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including logs, files, and reports.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and stop-work authority.
- Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety inspections and address safety concerns.
- Verify employee certifications and licenses.
- Implement injury prevention and safety programs.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage project teams.
- Foster a positive team culture and promote teamwork.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Provide performance feedback and address disciplinary issues.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and timecard submissions.

Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience leading construction projects as a Foreman.
- Safety-Minded Advocate: Commitment to establishing and maintaining a safety-focused work environment. OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Must wear PPE as required.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of California Building Code and commercial civil construction.
- Computer-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor construction teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Organized and Efficient: Strong organizational skills and accurate record-keeping.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel outside of the SF area as required.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to maintain continuous auto insurance coverage.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet, work in confined spaces (trenches, manholes, utility tunnels, etc.), and lift up to 51 pounds. Good vision (natural or corrected). Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
