About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join our Legal Team! In this role, you will play a key part in advising on complex commercial matters, while helping the company navigate the emerging AI legal landscape.
Your general responsibilities will include:
Draft, negotiate, and close complex commercial transactions with the company’s customers, vendors, and strategic partners across diverse industries.
Partner closely with sales and business teams to develop and execute strategies that drive our high-growth, go-to-market initiatives.
Stay informed on evolving legal frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory guidance, and apply this expertise to support the development of new contract templates.
Provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice to cross-functional teams, ensuring business objectives align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Develop and refine playbooks, policies, and best practices to improve efficiency in commercial negotiations and contract management.
Contribute actively to the Legal Team’s efforts to scale commercial functions while fostering a collaborative, supportive team culture.

What you bring
JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred).
3 years of relevant legal experience (in-house experience preferred), with at least 2 years focused on drafting and negotiating SaaS or technology agreements.
A deep understanding of enterprise software agreements, SaaS licensing, data protection, and intellectual property, with the ability to navigate complex commercial transactions. You know how to structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements for the tech industry.
A background in privacy and data protection laws that you can apply in commercial negotiations.
Excellent analytical and communication skills to support cross-functional teams as well as external clients and partners.
Cross-border experience, particularly in the U.S., UK, and EU. Dual-qualification is a plus.
