Experienced CNC Programmer sought to join a nationwide metals manufacturer in Endicott, NY, to program and operate CNC Milling & Turning Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program or set-up and operate CNC Milling & Turning Centers.
- Troubleshoot machining problems efficiently, cooperating with additional resources.
- Perform a sequence of operations, maintaining performance levels for throughput and quality controls.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
- Work as a team member to uphold and maintain departmental standards.
- Execute Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing processes and controls.
- Continuously improve job knowledge through educational classes and cross-training.
Key Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-5 years of direct machining and manufacturing experience with CNC Milling & Turning Centers.
- Advanced understanding of cutting tool selection and application.
- Advanced understanding of operation of Okuma, Haas, Mazak Milling and Turning Centers.
- Basic machine shop math.
- Basic blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
- Mechanical reasoning and logical trouble shooting.
- Proficient with MasterCam 2020 or newer.
