Our client, a nationwide provider of high-quality food products has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager, to join their winning team in Sutton.
Our candidate of choice will provide thought leadership, strategic planning, and departmental management of the maintenance function. You will be responsible for developing associates under his / her direct supervision and be responsible for supporting and accomplishing goals and objectives using the team management approach by working closely with other departments, especially Production and Engineering.
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems
- Keep abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and systems
- Meets daily to discuss and resolve problem relating to production equipment, work order status, provide feedback on work status and backing
- Meets as needed to order parts, clarify purchase requisitions
- Ensure that associates under his / her supervision follow all company safety procedures and comply with personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements
- Assigns work to mechanics in his / her are of responsibility
- Ensures that proper sanitation is preformed after maintenance has been performed on all production line equipment
- Promotes and maintains positive relationship between intermittent levels of management and maintenance associates
- Requires advanced technical and working knowledge of computerized maintenance programs
- Must be knowledgeable of preventative maintenance techniques and have the ability to develop preventive programs from vendor manuals
- Must be familiar with food processing and packaging equipment and parts in general sense
- Ability to plan ahead and take initiative in resolving problems
- Working knowledge of OSHA, USDA and GMP requirements as they pertain to maintenance activities at a food processing facility
