Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer to work on a 12-month contract-to-hire position in Durham, NC. This position is available for W-2 only. This position is hybrid onsite, two weeks a month. Local candidates are preferred but open for relocation candidates.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $68/hr to $73/hr w-2
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain core Java applications that process raw financial data into performance insights.
Utilize Spark with Scala to move data from Snowflake into a Java Application that transforms, integrates, joins, and aggregates data sets.
Develop core Java code to process the raw data into its end product properly.
Ensure data integrity by implementing checks, exception handling, and transformation processes.
Collaborate with reporting teams to transfer processed data into Oracle seamlessly.
Experience Requirements:
8 years of experience in software development with expertise in Core Java.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Spark using Scala.
Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including Docker and EKS.
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, and Artifactory.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.

Bachelor's Degree or higher
