What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Platform Architect / SSIS Modernization position at Eliassen Group?
**Hybrid | Chicago, IL**
Our Chicago based financial services client is looking for a Principal Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect to lead the team through platform modernization. A solid foundation in working with SSIS and proficiency in using Snowflake and APIs.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $80 - $100 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team through platform modernization.
Experience Requirements:
Must Haves:
- Proven experience modernizing SSIS platforms
- 10 years of experience working with SSIS
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and projects
- Experience in developing automated testing procedures in the ETL space
- Proficiency in Snowflake, APIs, and Java for use in modernizing SSIS platforms
- Proven experience in integrating with GitHub and managing release processes
- Strong knowledge of automated deployment and testing tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
Nice To Have:
- Experience in API development
- AWS
- Expertise in automating deployment of SSIS packages using CI/CD pipelines
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
