Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive support across core HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, administration, and onboarding. This individual will collaborate closely with the HR team to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure excellent service for all employees. The role also serves as backup recruitment support during high-volume hiring periods and actively supports New Employee Orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Assist in resolving employee concerns and participating in investigations and disciplinary meetings.
- Maintain accurate, compliant employee records and support internal audits
- Support legal and policy compliance by staying current with employment law.
- Draft and edit employee communications for clarity and compliance.
- Provide timely, respectful responses to HR-related inquiries.
HR Administration
- Serve as backup for the HR inbox, fielding routine questions and escalating as needed.
- Support and suggest improvements to HR policies and procedures.
- Compile HR data and generate reports to inform department strategy.
- Prepare and co-facilitate New Employee Orientation.
- Assist in delivering HR-related training content in partnership with the workforce development team.
Recruitment Support
- Provide support with job postings, screening, and interview coordination during high-volume periods
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure smooth employee transitions.
- Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in multiple HR functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- HR certification strongly preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
- Experience building relationships across various levels while maintaining objectivity.
- Experience working with a culturally diverse and/or multinational workforce.
- Success in fast-paced, evolving, or high-growth environments.
- Technologically savvy; experience with Paylocity and Google Workspace preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or community health centers is a plus.
