WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Process Improvement Engineer (PIE) will work collaboratively with a team of strategic partners including the COO, CMO, Director of Practice Transformation, Operations Directors, Human Resources, Workforce Development and Clinic Managers to improve processes and increase performance associated with key internal operations processes within Elica Health Centers. The PIE will independently manage projects and direct other staff in project-oriented activities and functions. The successful PIE will have previous experience with successful development and training of healthcare operational processes and procedures.

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Evaluate Elica’s current key internal processes and recommend improvement.
- Develop policies, procedures and additional resources for staff based on best practices for healthcare operations.
- Train key management and support staff on updated processes.
- Collaborate with Operations Directors and Workforce Development to help develop department specific training and assist with the ongoing monitoring of employee performance.
- Work with Business Intelligence in developing dashboards to evaluate performance related to these processes.
- Improve/increase the quality, productivity, and employee engagement around key internal processes.
- Continually improve adherence to best practices.
- Creating and delivering presentations & training manuals
- Observe, evaluate, and propose adjustments to procedures as needed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform
- Maintains subject matter expert knowledge of clinic operations including standards, policies, procedures,
- requirements, and best practices.
- Leads and initiates change management projects related to the ongoing escalated issues, mitigating risk and creatively finding alternative solutions where needed.
- Collaboratively works with Operations Directors in the development, implementation and maintenance of process improvement projects.
- Plans, organizes and/or facilitates ongoing meetings, learning collaboratives, seminars and workshops on standards and transformation topics.
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information, Public Health or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (Epic preferred), population health platforms, and report building databases
- Minimum of three years of experience working in process improvement activities for a large organization (500 employees). Additional years of experience may be used to substitute education requirement
- Minimum of five years clinic management experience
- Prior FQHC experience highly preferred
- Policy & Procedures development and implementation experience
- Training & coaching experience
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations impacting healthcare
- Ability to conduct Gap Analysis internally and externally, and to create and monitor Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle for quality improvement
- Ability to develop workflows, policies, and procedures for site management utilizing health information technology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Additional Requirements
- Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The work environment is characteristic of normal office conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or lift. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is
usually quiet.
The employee may be required to run agency related errands and attend off-site meetings; the employee must be able to operate, maneuver and/or control a motor vehicle. In performing the driving responsibilities, the driver may sit for long periods. This requires intense concentration, particularly in poor driving conditions.

Compensation Dependent Upon Experience:
Level I - $78,500 - $95,000
Level II - $104,000 - $125,000
Salary : $78,500 - $125,000
