Job Overview :
Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and preparing cottages for our overnight guests. A well-prepared cottage that is clean, fully stocked, and in good working order allows us to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. Additionally, Housekeepers contribute to the overall safety and security of the park by reporting damages, following safety rules, and assisting park visitors.
Primary Responsibilities :
Clean and prepare cottages; responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Picking up and removing trash.
Changing linen and making the bed.
Cleaning the entire bathroom.
Sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Cleaning windows and mirrors.
Retrieve, stock, and restock the housekeeping cart.
Respond to guest inquires and requests as appropriate.
Report any damage, mechanical problems, or missing cottage equipment/items.
Promptly turn in found items with documentation to Lost and Found.
Participate in deep cleaning programs as assigned.
Operate laundry equipment.
Sanitize, fold and store linens at a laundry facility.
Qualifications :
Must be able to successfully complete tasks in the prescribed timeframe.
Ability to work independently to clean all zones of the cottage with an even temperament.
Effectively communicate with our visitors.
Good eye for detail.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a park environment, the majority of the work is performed in cottages and the laundry facility. Requires the use of cleaning tools and equipment, cleaning chemicals, and manual labor to deliver clean and ready cottages.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Constant physical movement is involved in performing the duties and tasks of a housekeeper. Frequently position self to clean all zones of the cottage such as the floor, under the bed, behind furniture, and high and low bathroom fixtures throughout the work shift is required.
Mental Demands:
The mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must have mental alertness and be able to comprehend daily assignments. Ability to determine when a cottage meets the cleanliness requirement of the park.
