- Equipment operation: Operating ground-based equipment like chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, mini skidsteers, and other power tools as needed.
- Rope handling: Assisting the climber by managing ropes used for lowering branches and securing the work area.
- Site preparation: Setting up safety zones, clearing obstacles, and preparing the work area for the climbing crew.
- Clean-up: Removing debris from the job site after tree work is completed.
- Communication: Maintaining clear communication with the climber to ensure safe and coordinated operations.
- Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety guidelines, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any hazards.
