Job Overview:
The CADC provides both 1:1 and group support to residents with current or past addictions, creating a safe place to identify/ discuss triggers, goals, struggles, and accomplishments. The CADC is responsible for working closely with residents in the community on a daily basis to provide therapy and help them develop healthy coping mechanisms. Sessions will be done on an individual basis and/or group setting and is dependent on each resident and their currents and changing needs. The CADC will utilize knowledge from these interactions to effectively collaborate with the care planning team. It is the responsibility of the CADC to establish and document avenues for appropriate support and interventions for resident behaviors related to substance use or addiction.
The CADC is responsible for the implementation of identified interventions, which may include staff teachings, attendance at care conferences, collaboration with the Behavioral Support Coordinator, and communication with the resident’s support systems.
Shift: Full-time, day shift
Compensation Range: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)
Location: 4444 SE Oatfield Hill Rd., Milwaukie, Oregon 97267
Job Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with Screening of referrals for admission as needed.
- Create an addiction support plan dedicated to each Individual within 15 days of admission.
- The addiction support plan must align with the individual's service plan and must be explained to the resident in a manner that they can understand.
- Be an active member of the service planning team.
- Serve as Liaison to OHS Case Managers.
- Provide Individual-specific coaching and group teaching for direct care staff to ensure that direct care staff can implement the strategies defined in each individual's addiction support plan
- Partners with the Health Services team on addiction education, and individualized interventions which will then be communicated through Individual addiction support plans to direct care staff
- Coordination with the Behavior Specialist on mitigating behaviors from substance use and/or addiction
- Monitors and evaluates individual addiction support plans, reassesses, and revises the plans as needed while providing updated education
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Psychology or Human Services field desired.
- Must be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, recognized by the state of Oregon
- At least one year of substance counseling experience is preferred
