About this role:
As the Electrical Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Electricians, Generator Technicians, and Installers. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our electrical services sector .Your leadership and expertise will be key in ensuring top-notch performance and expanding our business capabilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving profitable revenue growth while ensuring exceptional customer service
- Evaluating workload and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Ability to create and manage budgets.
- Ensuring that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs.
- Scheduling repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job completion.
- Generating reports and reviews reports with management.
- Instructing crews on the proper use of materials and quality workmanship.
- Reviewing payroll records to ensure that employees are paid properly.
- Ensuring that employees have proper tools for the job and that they are properly maintained.
- Assisting the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate skillset selection for the type of service.
- Performing calculations necessary for electrical work and invoicing purposes.
- Performing supervision of residential service work including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and communicating problems and options to the customer.
- Effectively communicate issues to customers and provides options for repair and/or replacement.
- Ensuring that all?electrical repairs and replacements are completed to code and complies with all safety standards and processes.
- Responsible to follow up on calls as needed.
- Evaluating staff to determine training requirements.
- Providing on-the-job training and support to employees.
- Managing and develops our staff, which may include some or all the following :hiring, terminating, and disciplining of employees, rewards and recognition of performance and customer service, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
- Resolving customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of industry experience in the residential electrical industry 2 years of Management experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- A valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years driving experience
- Ability to work evenings and weekends is required
- Working knowledge of gas piping, electricity, plumbing
- Strong supervisory, communications, computer, and mathematical skills
- Great Attitude with a dedication to quality work
- Customer service oriented
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes
- Ability to operate a mobile tablet/phone
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting, squatting, climbing, and bending.
- Ability to work around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of Experience supervising an Electrical Team of at least 5 Electrician/Helper(s) is highly preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with generators.
- Service Titan Experience is highly desired.
The physical requirements of this job include:
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
- Ability to drive.
- Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.
