CAD Drafter

The candidate, looking to join a growing team, should have 18 months or more of experience in drafting for civil engineering projects.

Position will support a wide range of projects related to stormwater, erosion and sediment control and infrastructure design for commercial, multifamily, retail, and residential conditions. This will provide a greater range of challenges, opportunities for learning, and, ultimately, development in the candidate's overall skillset for future growth potential.

Qualified candidates must have/be:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Discipline to complete work within an expected timeframe.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic.
• Proven drafting presentation skills.
• Ability to critically think through discoveries in order to provide feedback on potential resolutions; ultimately increasing productivity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Meeting with Civil Engineer to discuss a project to gain a full understanding of expectations for a design.
• Receiving Sketches from Civil Engineer and converting the sketches/discussion into digital documents through CAD.
• Comfortability in AutoCAD and Civil 3-D is essential.
  • We are eager to support in the refining of skillsets; however, candidate must have a strong foundation.
• Comfortable in creating topography.
• Produce draft grading plans, storm drain and stormwater management plans, utility plans, profiles, sections, details, and establish quantity/volume calculations.

Education:

• Associate-Degree in Drafting from a Technical School or Community College; or Higher.
