Job Responsibilities
The CAD Drafter will be based in Washington, DC, and will support multiple industrial design projects. Additional responsibilities of the CAD Drafter include :
- Preparing plans from rough sketches and / or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
- Working closely with other designers, drafters, tradespersons and engineers to ensure a coordinated design
- Applying standard drafting / design principles and theories to complete assignments
- Utilizing technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards and codes
- Managing and maintaining all master and project drawings
- Compiling data and performing dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
