Patient Care Coordinator Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them when at the reception area.
- Interface with patients and balance a manageable patient flow during check-in and check-out procedures.
- Maintain an understanding of all accepted insurance plans and benefits.
- Prepare patient charts when directed.
- Collect all copayments, deductibles, and fees due at the time of appointment.
- Take inbound patient phone calls to assist our patient base with all needs, including troubleshooting and self-resolving issues to the best of your ability.
- Run necessary reports at the close of each business day to reconcile cash drawer/credit card transactions and submit accurate report/deposit information to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Actively pursue strategies to increase patient retention through pre-appointment process.
- Consistently manage and fulfill schedules, text messages, faxes, emails, etc.
- Contribute to contact lens sales, education, and inventory.
- Assist patients via professional phone etiquette and grace.
- Direct patients by walking them as needed to optical or restroom.
- Provide other duties within your department as well as others as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
