Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Implement Program Curriculum:
- Develop and execute engaging lesson plans and activities that align with the educational goals of the program.
- Tailor curriculum to meet the diverse developmental needs and interests of children, promoting holistic growth.
Create a Safe and Engaging Environment:
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children under your care.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore and learn.
Actively Participate and Interact:
- Engage with children during activities, encouraging participation and facilitating positive social interactions.
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a harmonious environment.

Requirements:
- Age and Education:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education in a child-related field is desirable.
- Background Check:
- Successfully pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting process to ensure the safety of children.
- First Aid/CPR Certification:
- Possess current First Aid and CPR certification or demonstrate a willingness to obtain certification prior to employment.
- Availability:
- Be available to work from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with early dismissal on Fridays, to accommodate the after-school program schedule.
- Child Care Background:
- Previous experience or education in child care, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
Technology Literacy:
- Proficiency in basic technology skills and the ability to adapt to and utilize new programs or software relevant to the role.
- Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting and moving supplies to after-school sites as needed.
- Ability to actively engage with children and manage behavioral challenges in a physically demanding environment.
