Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise students to ensure their safety and well-being during after-school hours.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and promote positive behavior among students.
- Provide support to students with their homework and academic projects, helping them understand concepts and complete assignments.
- Integrate creative teaching methods, including theater and hands-on activities, to enhance student engagement.
- Provide individualized support for students with varying needs, including tutoring sessions for those requiring additional assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and community members to create a holistic educational experience.
- Develop and implement engaging educational and recreational activities that promote learning and social interaction.
Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus; certification preferred.
- Ability drive 14 seat passenger vans to pick up students from school back to the daycare.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
