Looking for Medical billing and claims associate for busy billing service with experience posting insurance payments from explanation of benefits, working rejections and denials, recognizing correct claims coding, filing claims appeals, and working patient and insurance accounts receivables.
Must be able to learn and utilize multiple practice management software systems, and have the ability to work with Office products such as Word and Excel. Minimum of 1 year full time experience with medical insurance claims and payment posting required. Coding certifications are a plus but not required.
Experience using EMR systems IMS, EMD's, NowMD, and Nextgen are a plus.
Monday - Thursday 10 hour days. 40 hours per week. Fridays are flex days that allow you to make up time you might have missed Monday through Thursday. Responsibilities
- Manage medical billing processes, ensuring accurate coding using CPT, and ICD-10 standards.
- Utilize EHR and EMR systems, including NextGen, to maintain and update patient records.
- Conduct medical collections and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Analyze billing data using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and improve processes.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and coding practices to ensure compliance.
