This Pipe Yard Inventory Manager manages and oversees the company's inventory, including purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This includes developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures, monitoring inventory levels, and troubleshooting any issues. The Inventory Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and creating and maintaining inventory reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- REQUIRED - OCTG and API 5CT experience
- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
- Monitor inventory levels, including performing regular inventory counts and tracking inventory turnover
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and production, to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with production and sales goals
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and inventory management best practices
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including financial metrics such as gross margin and turnover
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Communicate with other departments, such as accounting, to ensure that inventory data is accurately reflected in financial statements
- Lead a team of inventory operators, providing training and guidance to ensure that all materials are handled safely and efficiently
- Continuously improve and optimize processes, tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise and work with other departments to resolve them
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management or related field
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, including purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to use inventory management software
- Must be familiar with industry regulations and compliance
- Experience in the relevant industry is a plus
- Supervisory experience is a plus
