We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Account Manager to join our flooring and painting company. This role is essential in managing client relationships, preparing bids, overseeing projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, and coordinating with workers to deliver top-quality results. The ideal candidate will have sales, project management, and customer service experience in the construction, flooring, or painting industry.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
- Meet with prospective clients to assess project needs, take measurements, and prepare bids.
- Prepare and present detailed estimates, proposals, and contracts to clients.
- Follow up on open bids to answer questions and close sales.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee job scheduling, material procurement, and worker assignments to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, address issues, and ensure quality control.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, workers, and suppliers.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
Customer Satisfaction & Quality Assurance
- Communicate with clients throughout the project to provide updates and address concerns.
- Perform final walkthroughs with clients to ensure the work meets expectations.
- Handle any complaints or touch-ups needed to maintain customer satisfaction and company reputation.
Coordination & Supervision
- Manage and oversee painters, flooring installers, and subcontractors on multiple projects.
- Ensure workers follow safety guidelines, company standards, and project deadlines.
- Work with HR to recruit and onboard new employees or subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in sales, project management, or client relations in flooring, painting, or construction.
- Strong ability to prepare bids, estimates, and contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
- Knowledge of flooring and painting materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with CRM software, estimating tools, and scheduling programs is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
