Minimum Qualifications:
- *Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
- Should have basic skills using hand tools-Hammer, drills, angle grinders, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently or with other team members
- Physical requirements-must be able to reach overhead, bend, kneel and be able to climb a ladder.
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks and work standing for most of the day.
The job duties include:
- Cut, punch and deburr metal parts
- Assemble gate sections using pneumatic tools
- Examine completed products for quality and defects
- Assist with packaging and shipping finished products
- Prepare gate product and parts for paint
- Maintain clean/safe work area
- Assist with loading and unloading material shipments
- Familiarity with welding shop operations and/or machine shop operations is helpful but not required.
- Employees will work as a trainee alongside an experienced technician in the overhead door industry repairing and installing all types of overhead doors.
Description:
- Large doors on warehouses grocery stores, government facilities airports etc.
- Trainees will be expected to learn the trade by "on the job training and study literature.
- Trainee will be required to learn arc welding and proper use of torches
- Trainee will be required to put in the necessary time on his own time to practice welding and torching.
- This may mean getting to work one hour earlier for 2 or 3 days per week to exercise this practice.
- Trainee will be expected to learn and practice all safety precautions given to him by Commercial Door company.
- Trainee will be required to wear steel toe boots and other attire that is appropriate for this type of work.
Trainee will be expected to apply himself to learn the trade of repairing and installing overhead doors within a reasonable time period, after which Trainee will be expected to operate in a Foreman capacity.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain equipment and machinery effectively
- Experience in residential painting is a plus
- Familiarity with CMMS for maintenance operations
- Knowledge of logic controllers for troubleshooting purposes
- Welding skills are desirable
- Ability to supervise junior technicians when needed
Requirements:
* Have a valid Californias driver's License with good DMV records at least 3 years
*Have steel toe boots
*Have reliable transportation to and from work.
*Have no fear of height (up to 25 feet)
*Have the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
*Be self-motivated and desire a long-time working relationship.
*Be at least 18 years of age.
*Must be able to get along with others in authority.
*Pass a basic physical exam and drug screening test.
*Be able to take 24 hours call one week per month.
*Be able to work full time and plenty of overtime.
*Be career minded individuals
*Covered under workers comp code 5108 (temp agency) .

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
