Position overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager – Restoration to oversee and manage restoration projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have expertise in construction project management, restoration processes, budgeting, scheduling, and client relations. This role involves coordinating resources, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, and delivering high-quality restoration projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of restoration projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters, property owners, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed according to local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel.
- Schedule and oversee daily operations to ensure project efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Provide regular updates and reports to carriers, homeowners, property managers, etc.
- Resolve conflicts and address project-related challenges in a timely manner.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare cost estimates and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor expenses, approve invoices, and ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures on job sites.
- Address any safety concerns promptly and conduct post-project evaluations.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in restoration.
Certifications: PMP, IICRC, OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with restoration techniques, insurance claims, and industry software (Xactimate, Microsoft, Corelogic etc.).
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Other: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
