Elite Rooter is looking for a Shop Manager to join our team. The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate should be an energetic, self starter with previous experience in an office and/or operations management. This position would require attention to detail without micro management, with the ability to create and implement processes and systems to help with operations.
Shop Manager duties and responsibilities
Shop Managers have many roles that are critical to the success of the shop. Their duties include:
- Managing and overseeing shop operations, developing a routine for opening and closing, and ensuring efficient functioning of the shop.
- Being the liaison for the shops onboarding processes including new hire paperwork corrections, administering and collecting company property and communicating terminations.
- Encourage sales quotas and performance management based on metrics
- Administrating accounting functions, assist with meeting monthly sales and financial targets, collecting payments, and making bank deposits.
- Assist with accurate timesheet tracking and payroll reporting.
- Controlling inventory to ensure sufficient stock, weekly and/or monthly counts.
- Enforcing exceptional customer service.
- Supporting the shops dispatcher and assisting the CSR department with any questions.
- Answering telephone calls and emails from customers and staff.
- Organizing and arranging vehicle maintenance
- Reporting shop progress to senior management and working with them to improve shop operations and procedures
Required skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an office/shop manager role
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
- Proficiency with computers, especially with CRM software, and strong typing skills.
- Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills
- Proficiency in problem-solving
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Adaptability and accountability.
- Fluency in multiple languages may be desired but not required.
