We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal with 10 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation throughout the lifecycle of a case.
- Prepare for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing exhibits, evidence, and witnesses.
- Track and meet monthly billable hour requirements (minimum of 155 hours).
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case-related matters.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
- Utilize legal software and databases to manage cases effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 years as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Education: Paralegal certification or degree in Legal Studies.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with Michigan laws and court procedures is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
