About the Role:
We are seeking a Sales Director to oversee the Western region, spanning from New Mexico to Montana and west. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new and existing business at Foodservice Distributors, Regional Chains, and some National Chains.
Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
- Assume overall responsibility for revenue growth, expenses, and operating earnings for designated accounts in the Western Region.
- Identify, develop, and execute new and ongoing strategies/tactics to drive new business growth, aligned with corporate objectives.
- Sell in and launch new products as identified for the customer set.
- Provide value-added, professional advice to Foodservice customers based on insights and analytics.
- Identify, develop, and expand business opportunities, as well as customer and broker relationships.
- Closing sales by professionally and efficiently delivering major sales presentations.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in proactive new business development and account management within the Foodservice Channel.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales goals.
- Proven track record of success in managing matrixed relationships.
Reporting Lines:
- Provide weekly updates to the VP of Foodservice Distributor Sales.
- Assume responsibility for budgets, analysis, reports, financial performance, key measurements, and contract performance of each account and broker.
Location and Travel:
The role involves frequent travel throughout the Western USA, plus occasional travel to Canada may also be required.
