Position Description
Elitecare Medical Staffing INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma and stroke patient imaging and is proficient in the use of radiology equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-Ray imaging examinations, focusing on trauma, stroke, and various inpatient, outpatient, and ER procedures.
- Operate a Siemens CT scanner and ensure optimal patient care throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BLS certification and ARRT registration.
- Start IVs as necessary for imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with the Radiology Supervisor and Lead Technologist to ensure efficient department operations during the day shift.
- Provide support during graveyard shifts when covering both X-Ray and CT services.
- Document all procedures accurately in Meditech and utilize DR Merge, with a transition to Phillips software in the near future.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess a valid state license.
- Preferred experience with trauma and stroke patients.
- Familiarity with Siemens radiology equipment.
- Ability to manage an average of 60-80 scans/studies per day.
- The Radiology department operates one scanner.
- Radiologists are available in-house from 8 AM to 5 PM and can be reached by call after hours.
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) are utilized in this department.
