Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Security Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security systems, including surveillance and access control, and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential security risks and implementing effective measures to mitigate them.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain surveillance systems, including CCTV, to ensure optimal functionality.
- Capable working on access control systems, cameras, and door locks.
- Perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and systems, including electrical components and schematics.
- Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain various security devices, including locks and access control systems.
- Develop and implement security protocols in compliance with NEC standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on security procedures and the use of equipment.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, conducting investigations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities and incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a security-related role with a strong understanding of surveillance systems and locksmithing.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to build and repair security devices effectively.
- Familiarity with electrical systems relevant to security installations.
- Certification in relevant fields is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
