Summary: The Commercial Associate will play a key role in supporting and executing the company’s commercial strategy, primarily focusing on driving growth in clinical trial recruitment and expanding the reach of clinical research services. The Commercial Manager will assist in identifying business opportunities, developing strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial goals. The position involves reporting to senior leadership and ensuring confidentiality in handling sensitive business information. Occasional travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Commercial Associate:
- Supports the business development team in implementing commercial strategies for clinical trial recruitment and other related services.
- Assists in identifying new business opportunities within the clinical research industry, including partnerships and service offerings that drive revenue.
- Manages and nurtures existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or expansion.
- Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns for patient recruitment and other commercial services.
- Assists in market analysis to monitor trends, competitors, and new industry developments, contributing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Supports the preparation of sales reports, client presentations, and business development materials for senior leadership and potential clients.
- Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commercial sales, client growth, and recruitment efforts.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment of commercial activities with the broader business goals.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding company financials, contracts, and other sensitive business information.
- Occasional travel to company meetings and conferences as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial sales, business development, or client management within the clinical research industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and driving business growth in clinical research or similar sectors.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial processes, regulatory considerations, and patient recruitment strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement sales and business development strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in market analysis and the ability to apply insights to drive strategic sales decisions.

bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA or similar) are a plus.
Physical Requirements and/or Environmental Factors:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
- Travel to sponsor required meetings and conferences as needed.
