What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist position at Eliza Huntington Memorial Home of Norwich Inc.?
Overview The Office Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial records for the Home as well as overseeing the accounts payable and invoice processing. This position also handles the documentation for admission and discharge and any necessary Medicaid documentation.
Responsibilities
1) Maintain current accounts receivable
2) Process invoices for payment in accordance with AP procedures
3) Calculate and submit payroll to appropriate payroll company
4) Prepare month end financial statements and any additional reports as requested by the Board of Directors and/or Administrator.
5) Maintain daily census for residents
6) Prepare bank deposits and maintain petty cash levels
7) Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
8) Coordinate year end accounting, tax and audit functions with accounting firm
9) Prepare all State of Connecticut documentation regarding discharges/admissions
10) Work with residents and families regarding Medicaid applications and services
11) Prepare monthly funds statements for residents and/or family members as well as disperse cash for residents as requested by them.
12) Attend In - Service meetings as required by State of Connecticut DPH
13) Other duties as required or requested
