Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is seeking a full-time RN ADON, at its Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, located on the West-side of Cleveland.
POSITION SUMMARY
Manage the provision of nursing care units in accordance with professional standards of practice, physician orders, Network policies and procedures and state and federal regulations to assure resident needs are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise nursing staff including orient, instruct, monitor performance, coach and mentor/develop, administer disciplinary action; and maintain positive employee relations to assure delivery of care.
- Observe nursing care and visit residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administered in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor operations of the units to ensure quality resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
- Assist Director of Nursing in implementation of goals for the Nursing Department.
- Oversee completion of initial and complete quarterly nursing assessments.
- Participate in implementation of care delivery and resident outcomes.
- Investigate, resolve and document resident complaints; conduct investigations and implement remedial actions. Investigate and/or coordinate the investigation for alleged cases of abuse and/or neglect.
- Direct preparation and maintenance of residents clinical records including but not limited to (immunizations, core status, care plan, assessments tasks, diet order, etc.)
- Participate with infection control, quality, activities assessment, and discharge planning.
- Provide Direct patient care when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse
- Leadership skills; training, coaching, team building, decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding timeframes, strong organizational skills.
- Seasoned Registered Nurse with leadership ability in long term care.
