What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Office Patient Coordinator position at Elk Dental Center?
Elk Dental Center is looking for a full-time patient coordinator to join our team. We are a well established private dental practice and provide care for some of the best patients around! In addition to our 3 full-time general dentists, we have a part-time oral surgeon and a part-time periodontist that each see patients in our clinic 2-3 days per month. Our front office team plays a key role in the success of the practice as the main source of patient communication. As a patient coordinator, you will work as a team with a second coordinator and the office manager on a daily basis.
Hours will be:
Monday 8:15am-5:00pm
Tuesday 8:15am-6:00pm
Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm
Friday 8:15am-1:00pm (every other week)
Responsibilities include:
· Schedule management
· Check-in/out all patients
· Fielding patient phone calls
· Confirming all upcoming appointments
· Scheduling appointments
· Processing payments
· Patient communication & communication with referral offices and labs
· Scanning, entering and emailing documents, including insurance pre-authorizations
Requirements for the job include:
· 1 years dental office experience (highly recommended)

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Clear communication & collaboration skills
· Highly organized
· Computer proficiency
· Patient oriented
Starting Salary: $26 per hour depending on experience
