What are the responsibilities and job description for the Basketball Scorekeeper - Seasonal position at Elk Grove Park District?
Hiring Range: - $15.00 - $16.00
Hours: Tuesdays 6:15pm - 10:45pm
JOB SUMMARY
Maintain clock and game log during games for Park District’s basketball leagues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for monitoring game area at all times.
- Must be able to operate game clock.
- Must be able to assemble equipment.
- Must be prompt and present when scheduled.
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
- Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks
- Able to maintain records and standings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 16 years old or older.
- Ability to communicate in various situations.
- Knowledge of equipment.
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Subject to modified/flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
- Must work around the general population.
- Must work under supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor.
- Able to work under stressful situations, including the ability to respond quickly and accurately to any and all emergencies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience preferred, but not required.
