Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance.
The Quality Assurance and Facilities Manager is responsible to the Executive Director for all staff and program at the assigned Head Start sites. The Manager is responsible to assure the safety and quality of services provided to all children enrolled in site classes and to assure that all services are provided in compliance with all external standards that apply to Head Start as well in compliance with Elkhart & St. Joseph Counties Head Start Consortium policies and procedures. The Manager is responsible to work with Parents of children enrolled in Head Start and to invite and encourage them to be actively involved in a partnership with Head Start to prepare their child for successful transition into school. The Manager is responsible to assure that special needs of each child are recognized, assessed and that identified needs are actively addressed. This is a year-round, full-time position.
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance and Facilities Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for oversight of all aspects of assuring the safety of children while in the care of Head Start and quality of services provided to them and their families. The Manager is responsible to hire, supervise, conduct regular performance evaluations and discipline and terminate, as needed, those employees assigned to the site. The Manager is expected to make operational decisions specific to sites, but is accountable to the Executive Director for those decisions and must be compliant with approved policies and procedures as well as external standards that apply to Head Start.
- Requirements
BA/BS degree from an accredited college and any legal background a plus
- Desirable experience in a similar position in a Head Start or similar children’s program. Two years of management experience and/or two years experience in an administrative capacity.
The Quality Assurance and Facilities Manager is expected to present a positive and professional image of Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties Head Start Consortium, and actively and effectively participate on committees and work teams as requested.
