INTAKE SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: Health Department – Healthy Beginnings
HIRING RANGE: $18.25-$20.28/hour based on education and position
related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Mon 10-7, Tues 9:30-6:00, Wed & Thurs 8:30-5:00, Fri-8:30-12:30
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service, registering new WIC clients, scheduling appointments, providing clients and public with assistance, registering clients as voters, and promoting breastfeeding.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills critically important
· High School Diploma or GED with one to two years office experience
· Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with the public
· Pre-employment background check and TB test
