PART-TIME MATERNAL HEALTH COMMUNITY WORKER
DEPARTMENT: Health Department-Healthy Beginnings
HIRING RANGE: Commensurate with education and experience
BENEFITS OFFERED: No benefits offered
POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 21 hours/week; days and hours flexible
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for aiding and empowering prenatal expectant mothers to obtain the necessary resources for a healthy pregnancy. Work is specific to the minority populations of Elkhart County.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, psychology, or a related field
· Working knowledge of mental health concerns, negative effects of poverty, and stages of pregnancy to be able to assist clients
· Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures/practices
· 1-2 Years previous job-related experience in related field preferred
· Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required
· Pre-employment background check and Hepatitis B Vaccine eligible
