Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Focused Therapist to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clinicians, medication providers, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and their families. Your responsibilities will include diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation, as well as engaging with external stakeholders such as school staff, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate holistic care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) from an accredited institution.
- Clinical licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or related credential in New York State.
- Demonstrated experience and passion for working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child development and its intersection with psychopathology, informing appropriate diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Proficient in completing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation, with experience in DC:0-5 or other child-specific diagnostic frameworks being a plus.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and electronic health record (EHR) systems (experience with Valant is a plus).
