What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perinatal Mental Health Therapist position at Ohel Children's Home and Family Services?
Ohel’s Early Childhood Mental Health Program is seeking a warm, empathic, LCSW, LMHC or LCAT to provide mental health services to pregnant and postpartum women. Clinician will provide services at OHEL’s Early Childhood Treatment Center. Clinician will be providing therapy to women diagnosed with a perinatal or postpartum mental health disorder. Clinician will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing clients in addition to providing mental health treatment. Candidate must be comfortable working individually, dyadically with mother and baby, and within family system including with partners and family members. Appropriate candidate must have knowledge of maternal mental health and attachment theories. Supervision is provided weekly which guides staff to develop competencies and new skills. Many opportunities for professional development are offered including advanced training that is provided in multiple evidence-based practice models. Excellent supervision is provided in a growth-oriented, collaborative setting. Two years experience in a field related to providing direct treatment, salary compensation significantly higher if candidate has direct experience with the perinatal and postpartum population.
