Ellington Solutions is seeking out qualified candidates that will:
- Conduct analysis and solutions for intricate issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Set up and oversee UNIX and Windows operating systems, including the installation and loading of operating system software.
- Diagnose, ensure the integrity of, and configure network components.
- Implement system enhancements to boost reliability and performance.
The qualified candidate will have:
- U.S. Citizenship (Required)
- Active TS/SCI with FS polygraph (Required)
- IAT I certification (Required)
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university is required.
- A cumulative experience of five (5) years in system administration may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- At least ten (10) years of experience as a system administrator in programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Proficient in the following technologies: Linux/RedHat Operating Systems and VMWare.
- Responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Oversees IT system infrastructure along with associated processes.
- Offers support for IT systems including daily operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more.
- Delivers Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) services for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Facilitates the escalation process and communicates status updates to agency management and internal clients.
- Assists with the dispatch system and addresses hardware issues, remaining actively involved in the resolution efforts.
- Configures and maintains UNIX and Windows operating systems while installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting issues, ensuring integrity, and configuring network components. Additionally, implements operating system enhancements to boost reliability and performance.
