Are you an experienced data center operations leader looking to manage critical IT infrastructure at a global technology-driven firm? We are seeking a highly motivated Data Center Operations Manager to oversee North and Central New Jersey data center sites. This hands-on management role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will:

Oversee Data Center Operations – Manage data center technicians and operations across multiple sites, ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality.

Manage Critical IT Infrastructure – Build, install, and troubleshoot servers, storage, networking equipment, and fiber/copper cabling.

Optimize Workflow & Processes – Identify and implement enhancements to operational policies, procedures, and daily workflows.

Oversee Telecom & Network Circuits – Manage data/telecom circuits (DIA, WAN, dark fiber) to ensure network resilience and performance.

Lead & Mentor Teams – Provide training, professional development, and mentorship to data center staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate Across Teams – Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to drive successful partnerships.
Who you are:

Experienced & Technical – 10-15 years of data center management experience, with expertise in data center infrastructure management (DCIM), troubleshooting, and cabling.

Telecom & Networking Knowledge – Familiarity with data/telecom circuit management, including WAN, DIA, and dark fiber.

Strong Communicator & Problem-Solver – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and troubleshooting abilities.

Proven Leadership & Project Management Skills – Experience managing teams, vendors, and large-scale projects.

Flexible & Reliable – Willingness to work some evenings and weekends and travel between sites as needed.

Financial Services Background – Prior experience in a financial services data center is required.
