Key Responsibilities
As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for:
- Keeping the master schedule and shop/machine loading plans up to date to predict potential bottlenecks or slack periods.
- Organizing and chairing production meetings to facilitate effective communication among team members.
- Issuing project schedules for shop and customer use.
- Following the progress of jobs from opening to completion and taking necessary actions with the Shop Operations Manager to maintain the schedule.
- Ensuring that the Shop Operations Manager is aware of critical path items and delivery dates.
- Managing purchasing and expediting activities to meet delivery deadlines.
- Acting as the primary reference point for project managers, providing timely updates on project status.
