The Maintenance Manager will lead the site maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out
- Increase site operational effectiveness through project delivery, low mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Ensures that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
- Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures
- Implement and manage continuous improvement with modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes
- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts
- Control and monitor inventory
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department
- Manage and maintain facility and facility projects
- Direct the activities of maintenance leaders and team to meet priorities within department
- Set up and follow a preventive and predictive maintenance program
- Manage all machine uptime and downtime
- Maintain and monitor necessary purchases of equipment to meet production schedule
- Assist in compliance of GMP and SQF Audits
- Develop and manage the expense budget assigned to the department
Hours:
- Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Overtime and weekends may be required.

Skills/Work Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required
- 10 years’ experience in maintenance management role
- Bakery experience preferred, manufacturing experience required
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
