Position Overview:
Ellisville Rehab and Nursing is looking for strong and compassionate nurse leaders to join our team. We are currently hiring for a Unit Manager RN position and also have an opportunity for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role. This may be a combined position for the right candidate or separate positions depending on experience and interest. Both roles are vital to ensuring exceptional care for our residents and supporting the nursing team in their day-to-day operations.
Unit Manager RN Responsibilities:
- Unit Leadership: Oversee clinical and operational activities for an assigned unit, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
- Team Supervision: Lead and support nurses and aides on the unit, providing training, guidance, and evaluations.
- Direct Nursing Care: Step in as needed to provide hands-on care, maintaining a visible and supportive leadership presence.
- Specialized Leadership: Take ownership of a clinical area such as QAPI, wound care, or infection control, driving quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Resident Coordination: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor care plans.
- Admissions & Transitions: Manage the admission, discharge, and transfer process for residents on the unit.
ADON Responsibilities:
- Support to the DON: Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing facility-wide nursing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Staff Oversight: Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to care standards.
- Quality & Compliance: Play a key role in QAPI, infection control, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to promote teamwork and a unified approach to resident care.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri (or compact license).
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
- Strong leadership and clinical skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff.
- Expertise or interest in areas such as QAPI, wound care, or infection control is a plus.
- Knowledge of SNF regulations, best practices, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative environment.
