Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is the world's leading manufacturer and remanufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.

This position is located at our Sharon, PA facility and you will report to Martin Bayuk, Sharon Plant Manager. This is a full-time hourly position consisting of dimensional and non-destructive testing inspections. This non-exempt position may be required to work rotating shifts and/or 12-hour schedules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three plus years manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing and manufacturing processes
• Prior Quality Assurance experience a plus
• Thorough understanding of tools and fixturing
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring instruments
• Working knowledge of ISO Quality system

• Ability to organize/prioritize work load with good reading/comprehension/math skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GDT
• Working knowledge of various machine tools and processes
• Ability to layout parts, assist on inspection plate throw checks
• Ability to work well with a team while also working independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• General computer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Perform final inspection of reman crankshafts or other parts to verify cranks that are capable of being remanufactured
• Perform in-process inspections throughout various stages of the incoming remanufacturing process
• Communicate non-conformances to Sales, Quality and Accounting Departments for invoicing
• Provide route summary of rework issues and opportunities for salvaged based on inspection results
• Drive company truck when necessary
• Be a resource to employees in supporting layout questions, in-process verification and troubleshooting any quality issues
• Calibrate and verify measuring tools
• Enter inspection results and other verification data into Syteline computer system
• Accurately and legibly complete all necessary paperwork
• Engage with operators in pro-active manner to help support and promote quality objectives
• Support Zero Defect efforts
• Adhere to inspection procedures including following proper steps for product release
• Participate in special projects or continuous improvement activities
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary
• Support customer visit inspection and 3^rd party audit
